Digital Civilization and the New Student Voice

For most of the twentieth century, traditional mass media has had a prodigious and ubiquitous effect on the political process in America. For the most part, students were omitted from these institutions. Now in today's digital society, Web 2.0 has become, in many ways, the new mass media. Now, students are not excluded. We can not be excluded. We are the generation of Web 2.0. We are Web 2.0.

Professor Burton's lecture on Digital Activism and the remix culture influenced me to use the new digital tools available to consume, create, and share a message that I believe to be of great importance.
